Yeah, that she wanted to just have sex, and I'm... I was looking for something more.

Chilton believes you two slept together. He said you confided in him about it.

[ And she's looking quite put-off suddenly, though it isn't directed at Kaidan. ]

I didn't -- I mean, maybe I mispoke?

To give him that impression, we never slept together, but maybe something I said made him think we did.

Can you tell me what would make him think that? What did you say to him?

[ He moved, then. Pacing, trying to work out -- ]

I might've talked about it with him in a bar, once. I think I told him that we had different ideas about what we wanted.

Well, Chilton might be under the impression you're the one who wanted to pursue, not Lounds.

Yeah, I guess so. I don't know why, I told him I was -- working on things with someone else.

Then he lied to me.

[ She purses her lips, eyes narrowing. ]

Any idea why he'd make up a lie?

I don't know? Maybe he thought it'd been in session? [ Look at him!! Believing the best in people!! ]

We don't talk a lot, so I bet those conversations got mixed up pretty easily.

[ She's astonished his patience hasn't worn thin as a result of this. ]

Well, it was a dangerous accusation to make. He should know better.

[ u won't believe his patience. ]

I don't know, I mean, do we know each other here? I just... maybe it was an honest mistake? Or maybe Freddie meant a lot to him, and I didn't realize it. Maybe... he honestly thought I'd did it.

[ Wow, there's a man out there with actual patience aside from Clark. ]

[ So much for "highly accurate observational skills" or whatever. ]

I mean, I won't lie, I'm kind of hurt? More that someone thinks I would hurt my friend but also --

I don't know, I figure it's just that? Dr. Chilton probably saw something there that worried him, more than anything, that concerns me.

... wow. Your faith in people is kind of inspiring.

[ Maybe Chilton didn't mean to accuse Kaidan, but it does come across as odd and a little worrying. She figured Kaidan and Chilton had gotten off on the wrong foot and the doctor was being petty. ]

Honestly, you don't strike me as the dangerous type. Besides, Jaime spoke highly of you. I trust his judgement.

Oh, ah -- [ A smile, and he rubbed the back of his head. ]

Good, he's a...really great kid. Good head on his shoulders.

[ And then he paused. It isn't like he has that kind of faith in people, not really. He was convinced his boyfriend was a terrorist for months and almost shot him -- but maybe...it doesn't feel like your friends are going to stab you in the back here. ]

Anyway, I'm sure the doctor had a perfectly good reason.

You have got to be the nicest soldier I've ever met.

[ And she knew a gigantic asshole of one, so her opinion of them is somewhat low. ]

[ He doesn't think he is. Are there nice soldiers? ]

Anyway, do you have other questions, anything I can do, I'd be happy to help. I want the police to find her killer as soon as possible.

[ A shake of her head. ]

Not at the moment. I want to find them soon, too. Whoever they are, they are not going to get away with this.

I just -- someone like that deserves to be in prison. I'd like to have the reassurance that someone actually did get punished for hurting her.

[ She takes a few steps back and then begins to hover a couple of feet in the air. ]
