honestly tho hes probably just used to doing the gig solo

which i guess has its advantages like nobody tells you what 2 do and u dont have to worry about team dynamics or getting along with people you dont rly like

but hes missing out on the support

You can try to build a big enough team so that when port-outs do happen you've still got strength in numbers.

That's kind of why you get to know them. You do background checks and training sessions.
Recruitment takes up a chunk of your time, but it can be worth it.
