[At six the following day, Superboy is waiting at the chosen location with a giant white canine-animal that is most definitely not Krypto. There isn't a single building in sight which is probably a good thing when two superpowered aliens go at it. Chances are good that if she's coming in from above, Power Girl will be able to spot him on the rock he's chosen to perch on.

Somehow he just seems calmer than their previous meeting.]

[ She spots the large creature from afar, squinting at it as she descends from above and maintaining a slight distance initially. It might be with Superboy, but it doesn't exactly look friendly.

She throws her cape behind her as her boots touch the ground, her hair settling around her face as well. ]

Whoa, nice... dog?

[ Definitely not Krypto and definitely not a dog. ]

[He puts a hand on the giant creature's head and pets it affectionately and the animal seems to enjoy it.]

He's a wolf. Purposely given some drugs to enhance some of his natural strengths. Usually he's my sparring partner.

[It says something when an Earth animal can go toe-to-toe with a half-Kryptonian.]

How have you been?

[ That's a good indication it's not hostile. Peej steps closer, examining the wolf curiously. ]

An experimentation? [ But she doubts it's Superboy who's been giving it drugs. ] Poor guy.

[ She looks over at Superboy, smiling a little. ]

Busy, but what's new? A dual life is hard work.

How about you? Looks like more of your teammates showed up recently.

[The wolf peers back curiously but doesn't make any other moves.]

Done by the Brain. He was trying out the Kobra-Venom serum.

[Definitely not drugging his friend.]

I'm not really all that good at the dual life thing. Not even back home. [But is that really surprising.]

Yeah, some familiar faces. My girlfriend turned up. She wants to meet you. [Shrugs apologetically.]

Kobra exists in your world, too?

[ Her face screws up for a moment, but her irritation remembering the trouble they are passes when she overhears the word "girlfriend". ]

You have a girlfriend?

[ ... Well, that didn't come out right. The upwards inflection didn't help. ]

Who is it?

Yeah, it does.

[He doesn't really know how it's supposed to come out. Superboy hasn't actually told anyone - they just knew or other people told them.]

M'gann M'orzz or Miss Martian. Martian Manhunter's niece.

[ The surprise doesn't leave her face just yet. ]

Miss Martian? Huh.

[ Not Wonder Girl? Weren't those two an item? She doesn't follow the romantic lives of the Teen Titans anyway. ]

[His eyebrow raises curiously.]

Something wrong?

[ Peej shakes her head. ]

It's nothing. Congrats to the both of you? How long now?

A few months.

[Which is actually more than half of his life.]

Haven't really met the one from my world, but I always did like Martian Manhunter.

[ She rolls her shoulders, giving them good, long stretch. ]

Tell her I don't mind meeting her.

[He nods.]

We can work out the when later.

[Now Superboy looks over at Wolf who moves a good deal away.]

You ready?

[This will be an experience. He's never fought with a sane Kryptonian.]

[ She wonders just how strong he is and if he has good control over his abilities, too.

She cracks her knuckles, pulling her fists up near her face and positioning her legs. ]

Ready when you are, Superboy.

[His own fists come up and his stance might be familiar considering he learned from Black Canary.

Superboy will move first and he clears the distance between them with a single jump. One fist sweeps to the side in her direction.]

[boobwindow]

[ That stance adds to the growing list of surprises, but no time to focus on that; she crosses her arms to guard herself and take the brunt of his hit, digging her heels into the ground so she isn't thrown off balance entirely. Once his fist collides, her feet sink into solid rock and tear through a couple of feet. She grunts, but she's still in place. ]

Not... [ Her knee kicks up to strike him in the stomach. ] Bad!
