I did and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, but I'm interested if you are.

So, I do have a couple of questions I'd like to ask first.

Alright, so first question: why the interest in Starrware in particular?

When looking into the ImPort run companies at present, I found more personally interesting about the direction your company is going over those of... [ a really cool superhero INWARD GEEK MOMENT but... ] ... similar competition in the technology field. Maybe I've been unduly influenced working with an environmentalist group of late, but forward progress is something that should be made efficiently and with an eye toward sustainability in the future.

[ Because that would be a lasting effect worth being proud to leave behind.

Also Tony doesn't try to get into sewing projects, and motivated women who handle PR crises are women worth watching and listening to for a while. ]

So you've done your research. That's good to hear.

What sort of work are you doing with this group? I'm guessing you plan to leave if you're offered a position. Any reason why?

[ Phone interviews: they're a real thing. ]

Contract work, mostly. When my initial period of presumed Registration ended, I entered into personal arrangements with the group to handle the overhauling of their design scheme, from shirts, to banners, to their logo, such as it was. Not entirely the sort of thing I do regularly, and it's been... enlightening, if nothing else.

[ Working with the group as a whole to figure out what it is they felt represented them and the work they wanted to do. ]

Working on limited resources and maximizing results has a certain challenging appeal, I'll admit.

[ Well, he was in the sewing club and she met him at a fabric store. He's a creative type, which is all the more appealing. ]

I do admit while we're managing, it's just that. We want to do more to establish ourselves while coming up with creative and progressive solutions, though we are slightly limited given our size.

[ And the competition. Stark's likely got more imPorts working for him and they aren't just ordinary imPorts either. He's got geniuses on board and those minds are constantly churning out something. ]

So, my next question would be: when can I schedule you for a face-to-face interview? I'd love to have one with you at my office.

[ Super geniuses... what can you do with them? Or without them. Iori works the more creative end of the spectrum, but Karen might be surprised to learn just how much of what he'd done was scientific research - and, as an extension, involved experimentation on both humans and life fibers.

Not that he'll mention it here and now, let alone over an open channel. He's aware that what's acceptable in one set of circumstances, what was part of the need in steeling himself per Lady Satsuki's wise words against the harshness of what must be done for the greater good, is not going to come across well in other situations and circumstances.

Regardless, a face-to-face interview, and the challenge of working with much less than he has in the past... ah. As Inumuta and Gamagori have both said, there are more things here than life fibers.

... Though come on, he wasn't done researching those either. ]

My schedule's flexible at the moment. The contract I'm involved with is more concerned with deadlines than day-to-day reports on progress.

[ Actually, he ignores the worried phonecalls. One of the paid volunteers is a certified meddling worrywart. ]
